In response to rumors that Battlefield 2042 may receive another delay, reputable industry insider Tom Henderson claims the title will launch on time.
Despite rumors that claim otherwise, reputable Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson insists Battlefield 2042 remains on track for its mid-November 2021 release. The rumors in question began making the rounds this past weekend courtesy of an r/GamingLeaksAndRumours Reddit post. According to said post, publisher Electronic Arts may consider pushing the shooter to March 2022 in the event that Battlefield 2042’s beta “doesn’t go smoothly.”
EA and developer DICE originally intended to bring Battlefield 2042 to market in late October for consoles and PC. Due to the challenges involved in building games during the global pandemic, however, the companies had no choice but to push the project’s previously scheduled launch date. Naturally, such a move also culminated in the delay of Battlefield 2042’s Early Access and Open Beta periods. Those who pre-ordered the FPS title can participate in an Early Access version of the beta on October 6 and October 7. Battlefield 2042’s Open Beta will go live for all players on October 8 and end on October 9, DICE recently confirmed.
