Playing Wordle can be as big a part of your morning routine as having a coffee or catching up on the news. However, even the most experienced players can run into difficulty, which is why Newsweek is here to help get you over the finish line.

The premise is simple. You have six attempts to get a five-letter word, a correct letter in the right place lights up green, a correct letter in the wrong place turns yellow. Gray is the color of the tile, and perhaps your mood, if the letter is not in the word at all.

Tactics are all important. It is always good to start with a word with plenty of vowels, and leave those lesser used letters for later on.
